This site has been designed to provide a source of information for anyone researching Holdi(t)ches or their associated families. There are a number of branches of the family, one originating in Wadenhoe, one in Norfolk and one in Devon etc. Hopefully one day we may be able to prove their common ancestor. As well as members in the UK we also have family members in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, Norway and the USA. We hope this site will help family members around the world to keep in touch and will encourage new members to contact us.

The Society was formed in 1989 and members have met at Family Days once a year ever since. Family Days are usually held in the village hall in Wadenhoe, Northamptonshire. This was the home, in the 16th century, of some of the earliest Holdiches we have so far been able to locate. As well as annual meetings we also produce two journals a year which focus on the history of the family, current research by members and also family news.

We are keen to expand the information we have about our family and to support others in their research. If you have any information which you would like to contribute or corrections you think we should make to our records as well as suggestions for improving the site, or you would like to become a member of the Holdich Family History Society to receive our bi-annual journals, attend family days and access the full range of information on this web site please complete the Contact form and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Welcome to our family site we hope you will find it interesting and useful.
